ADILKHAN MAHAMMAD ABDULLAYEV
Adilkhan Abdullayev was born on 25 October 1936. In 1955, he completed his secondary education. In 1957, he entered Baku State University, Faculty of Chemistry. He graduated in 1962, embarking on postgraduate studies at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. From 1965 to1973, he was a teaching assistant and senior teacher at this department, and also served as an associate professor from 1973 to 1991. He was elected a professor of the department in 1991. In 1993, he moved to Turkey, where he continued his teaching activity at Trakya University in the city of Edirne. In 1967, he defended a PhD thesis, and achieved ScD degree in 1991. The same year he was made a professor of inorganic chemistry. His research interests laid in synthesis of naften acids and metal complexes, general regularities and qualities of naften acids and their synthetic mixture with ion-metals, and method of synthesizing naftenates with metals with electronic structures, structure and thermic qualities of metal naftenates. He published 45 papers, and one monograph. He was the holder of several patents.
