NAIBA FAZIL MUSAYEVA
Naiba Musayeva was born on 5 July 1938. In 1955, she entered Baku State University, Faculty of Chemistry. She graduated with honors in 1960. She embarked on her career when she started working as a junior research fellow at Y. Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes, ANAS, as a fifth-year student. From 1961 to 1964, she did postgraduate studies at BSU.
Naiba Musayeva worked at the institute from 1964 to 1992. She also served as a senior research fellow and laboratory head at the Institute of Chlorine Organic Synthesis, ANAS. In 1992, she was transferred to the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as head of the Department of Chemistry, Biology, Medicine and Agriculture. Until 2003, she was a member of the Higher Attestation Commission Board and Presidium.
In 1964, she defended her PhD thesis, and achieved a ScD degree in 1990.
Her research interests lie in relations of kinetics, mechanism, correlation equations, extrathermodynamic relations of organic reagents.
She has published 130 papers, and is the holder of 13 authorship certificates. She has supervised three PhD students to completion.
Naiba Musayeva spent from 1990 to 1992 in Estonia, where she worked as a part-time senior research fellow at Tartu University.
In 1975, she graduated from Azerbaijan Foreign Languages Institute, Faculty of English-Russian Languages, as an English language teacher. In 2000, she graduated with honors from “AIS-Sintez” Japanese Language Center.
In 2000, she started lecturing on Japanese literature and calligraphy at the Department of Japanese Language and Literature, Faculty of Oriental Studies, BSU. She is conducting comparative researches into Azerbaijani and Japanese literary works, having published more than 20 papers.
