RASIM MIRALI ALOSMANOV
Rasim Alosmanov was born on 21 November 1966. In 1990, he graduated from Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology. The same year he started a career at Baku State University, serving as an engineer at Metal and Complex Catalysts Research Laboratory, Faculty of Chemistry. From 1991 to 1994, he did postgraduate studies at the Department of the Chemistry of Higher Molecular Compounds, BSU. In 2000, he defended a PhD thesis, achieving a ScD degree in 2013. From 1995-2005, he served as a laboratory assistant at Metal and Complex Catalysts Research Laboratory. In 2005, he became laboratory head at the Department of the Chemistry of Higher Molecular Compounds. In 2007, he was made an associate professor at the department, serving as a professor since 2014.
His major research area includes chemical modification of industrial polymers and polymer waste, and regularities of polyfunctional polymers and hybrid polymer composites. He has published several methodological and education handbooks, monographs and over 130 papers. He is the holder of three patents of Azerbaijan and one of the United States of America. Rasim Alosmanov sits on the Dissertation Council under the Institute of Polymer Materials, ANAS.
