ELDAR ISA AHMADOV
Eldar Ahmadov was born on 13 June 1951. From 1968 to 1973, he studied at Baku State University, Faculty of Chemistry. In 1973, he entered Lomonosov Moscow State University as a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Chemistry. In 1977, he defended a PhD thesis, and obtained a ScD degree in chemical kinetics and catalysis in 2004.
In 1977, he joined BSU, serving as an engineer, junior research fellow, teaching assistant and associate professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, which he headed from 1999 to 2006. He has chaired the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry since 2003, holding professorship since 2006. His research interests lie in thermodynamics of functional, including nanostructure material produced on the basis of multi-component systems, and their physical, chemical and catalytic qualities.
He has published more than 250 papers in local and foreign periodicals, over 10 textbooks, education and methodological handbooks. Eldar Ahmadov is the holder of two patents and one authorship certificate.
He is the co-author of two monographs on zeolite catalysis. He is the recipient of the title “Merited Teacher”. Eldar Ahmadov is deputy editor of “Baku University News” journal, and a member of the Scientific Council, Faculty of Chemistry and D.02.011 Thesis Council under BSU.
