RAUF ALIMAMMAD BABAKHANOV
In 1948 he entered the faculty of chemistry of AUL. In 1953, he began working as a laboratory assistant at the Oil Institute of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. In the same year he entered the postgraduate course of the institute and in 1956 he defended his doctoral dissertation in 1966 and in 1967 he was awarded the title of professor. Prof. RA Babakhanov's main scientific researches are devoted to the study of aromatic and cycloparaffin hydrocarbons and their various derivatives in the presence of acid-type catalysts, alkylation reaction with various unsaturated halogenides, factors influencing the reaction and its mechanism and conversion products of synthesized substances. Professor RA Babakhanov's scientific-research works are reflected in 1 monograph, more than 200 scientific works, including 31 author's certificates.
