ALI NAJAFGULU NURIYEV
In 1948 he entered the faculty of chemistry of AUL, from the III course he was sent to the faculty of chemistry of Gorky State University. A.Nuriyev graduated from the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1954 with a degree in analytical chemistry. He defended his PhD in 1963 and his doctoral dissertation in 1972. In 2007 he was elected a corresponding member of ANAS. For the first time, he studied the distribution of rare and radioactive elements in the oil-bed water-rock system in all oil fields of Azerbaijan and determined the regularities of their migration, scattering and accumulation. Prof. A.Nuriyev's researches are reflected in 250 scientific works. Under his leadership, 12 candidates of sciences and 2 doctors of sciences defended their dissertations.
